29 Things I've Learned In My First 29 Years.

Happy Birthday to me! It's kind of funny how getting older makes you reminisce on the past. With nothing exciting happening to me today, other than a booty workout and a hot, QUIET shower, I thought I would put these together for you to share some of my thoughts and lessons going into my last year of my 20's.

1. I am valuable. I have intrinsic worth. And nothing can change that or take it away.

2. Greys Anatomy and Friday Night Lights are by far the best series out there. If you've never watched them, we can't be friends.

3. Friends come and go, sad, but true. Some of them might stay with you for a longer period while others for a shorter. Don't be sad. Just love them all when you can, as much as you can.

4. Worry less, live more.

5. Fear is nothing except an illusion. We work ourselves up and we stress ourselves out for what?

6. Take the risk. If you don't, you're going to regret it.

7. Always say what you think and what you mean, don't hold back.

8. Be yourself. Unapologetically.

9. Abs are an awesome feeling.. but so is pizza.

10. Strive to be the best version of yourself, ALWAYS. It's the best investment you'll ever make.

11. Perfection isn't real, instead seek to always do your best. To pour your heart and soul into everything you do. Always aspire t offer real value and to create work that matters.

 12. Don't lose yourself comparing to others. This is an awful trap and will be your biggest waste of time.

13. You can't be liked be everyone. “Care about people’s approval and you will be their prisoner.”  ~ Lao Tzu

14. Have an attitude of gratitude. Express your gratitude for both the good and the bad in your life. Appreciate everything and everyone. Make the best out of every situation.

15. You'll lose yourself trying to be a people pleaser. The only person you should worry about impressing is YOURSELF.

16. Healthy eating and working out is so important (serious aging, illness, physical pain sound familiar?). Do something you'll have fun with and move your body everyday.

17. Don't let others dictate what you want to do. Whether it be starting your own business, going to a new gym, or trying a different restaurant, allow yourself to chase your dreams and desires.

18. Be open to trying new things.. skydiving, sushi, belly dancing, whatever it is, have fun.

19. Your childhood doesn't dictate your adulthood (unless you let it).  Shit happens to all of us.  Use it to your advantage, learn from it, and focus on gratitude and giving.

20. Don’t let failure hold you back. “I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed”.  -Michael Jordan

21. Your feet can actually go up a size when you're pregnant (I wish I was kidding).

22. Being able to give, is the absolute best feeling.

23. Everyone is trying to do their best, don't judge.

24. Experiences are so much more important than things.

25. Tattoos are not just a teenage phase.

26. Be your own best friend. Don't let any relationship replace the one you have with yourself.. if don't have one you better start working on it.

27. Don't go a day without laughing.

28. Childbirth is the most painful thing you'll endure, until you see your baby in pain.

29. Love really does conquer all.

If you read this to the end, you're the real MVP!
xoxo, Jenn
